New Jersey House

We moved to Cherry Hill, NJ in Jan for Ben's job. We decided it would be a lot easier if we took a week and painted before we had our furniture delievered....Wow was I right. I will never do it anyother way. Ben's older sister April came for a few days and we put her to work painting and cleaning. April was a really really big help. I don't know if we would of finished without her especially the Livingroom where we decided to do the Ralph Lauren leather technique. It by far is my favorite room in the house. We managed to get all the rooms painted even the basement except our bedroom and the bathroom before we had our furniture delievered. Wow it was a lot of hard work.....but now it is ours!!!!

Dancing, Dancing, Dancing

Ben and I really enjoy swing dancing together. Dancing is such a good way for to meet such amazing people and get great exercise at the same time. Ben has been dancing for about three years and I started when we started dating. We really do have so much fun dancing and highly recommend everyone try it!

Our Charleston House

February 2005 I moved into the house that I built in Charleston. Wow did I learn a lot about building a house. I don’t think it is ever an easy process. I love it. It is truly Charleston style with the double front porch. The neighborhood is filled with color and trees. It is a unique area. It makes me sad to have to leave the area and the house and head up north….maybe someday we will be back.

Our Honeymoon in Costa Rica

Ben and I went to Costa Rica for our honeymoon. We had a blast!!! The country is so beautiful and peaceful. They defiantly lead a simple and good life in Costa Rica. We started our honeymoon at a place called The Peace Lodge. It is a small exclusive resort in the rainforest. We were treated like King and Queen. While at the Peace Lodge we swam at hot springs, viewed an active volcano at night, and we went horse backing riding (not like your US horseback riding it was no joke horseback riding). We then headed to central Costa Rica to do a two-day white water rafting trip. The river we rafted is the 5th best river to raft with class 3 and 4 rapids. We stayed the night at the Pacura lodge…No hot water or electricity but so luxurious. We slept in a hut along the river and swam in a local waterfall. While at the lodge we also did a zip line tour which was the coolest experience zipping through the rainforest like Tarzan. The coolest thing about the lodge is that they employ one indigenous Indians from the area and all their supplies are rafted in and out, you cannot get there by car. As far as the rafting it was so much fun. I even had the opportunity to fall out of the raft and for Ben to save my life. From there we traveled up to the Guancasta region and stayed a week at the beach. Ben and I really would like to travel back to Costa Rica in the future…just hopefully it doesn’t become to Americanized it is perfect the way it is now.

Our Wedding Day!

Ben and I were married on Folly Beach in South Carolina on September 17, 2005. Ben’s sister April and brother-in-law Randy performed our ceremony, which made the day more special for us. Our wedding guests wore beach attire and no shoes..it was so much fun! We had a reception at a beach house we rented for the week. The menu included a low-country fare such as shrimp and grits, low-country boil, and hushpuppies. We finished the day dancing, dancing and dancing. We couldn’t of pulled off our wedding without the help of all our family and friends. They did all the cooking, putting the flowers together, setting up, and cleaning up…..phew! I know this trip to Charleston wasn’t as much of a vacation for them. Our friend Bruin was our photographer…Check out the pictures, he did an AWESOME job!
