Garrett Birthday Ride

This was the fourth Garrett Birthday Bike Ride. The day of the ride was PERFECT, sunny and warm. There was a good turn out including many family and friends. This was Emily's first bike ride...she hung out in the trailer and slept a good portion of the ride. Erica and her oldest son came and we rode together pulling the kids.

Emily helped the Friday before while we all stuffed goodie bags as she played with the mini bottles of lotion and the box they came in. Jay played the night before the ride at the Mocha House. It was the first time for us to see him play and we were very impressed (He is really really good). It was good to get to see family and friends that we haven't seen for a while and enjoy a beautiful day remembering Garrett.

PREbirthday party!

Since Emily is approaching 1 year old we celebrated Emily's birthday with my family while we were in Warren. I think Emily enjoyed having free range with her cake and being able to play with the shiny bows on her prsents. We had a duck party since Emily's first real word was duck! It makes us happy but sad at the same time to see our little girl growing up.

Visiting friends in Columbus

Em and I traveled to Columbus for a couple of days to visit some of my friends. It was fun to just hanging out and seeing how big their kids are getting.

Annapolis Boat Show

On our way to Indiana we stopped in Annapolis to visit some friends and check out the largest sail boat show in America. We stayed with Cynthia and Guy who we knew from Charleston. We had so much fun playing games and talking about old times. The boat show was a lot of fun, hot but fun. I enjoyed actually being able to go aboard some of the largest boats out there....and dream a little. Emily had some fun while taking a break at the playground. While we were at the show we met up with our friend Kevin and his girl friend. It was so good to see them again and it wasn't even at a bike race

HILLY HUNDRED!

Ben, Em, and I traveled over to Indiana for a week to visit family and so that the guys could ride the Hilly Hundred. Ben has done this ride with the family the last several years and looks forward to it every year.

We rented a cabin in southern Indiana for a few days which ended up being really nice for Emily to hang out with her cousins while her daddy rode his bike. While we were in Southern Indiana Ben showed me around Indiana University and some of the places he used to hang out at in college...like Oliver Winery. We also had a chance to do some hiking around our cabin which was beautiful, we just were a little disappointed that the leaves hadn't changed yet.
