Christmas 2007

This year we spent Christmas in New Jersey due to Ben's work schedule. So we decided we just wanted to have a low key holiday.

We woke up Christmas morning and let Emily open a couple of presents. Truthfully she was more interested in the wrapping and boxes, but it was still fun to watch her. We got her a broom since she is very interested when I am sweeping with the broom. We then had our 93 year old neighbor over to eat Christmas breakfast of french toast, sausage, and broiled oranges (yum yum).

After nap time we headed out to the Aquarium for a few hours of hippos, birds, fish, and sharks. Later in the day we picked up Grannybird from the airport just in time to enjoy Christmas dinner of Cornish hens.

Emily and the Steps

Emily has learned how to climb up on the first step so she does it all day long now. She sits and dangles her feet.

Emily and Josh Groban

I was half way watching Oprah one day and Josh Groban was on singing Christmas songs. Emily dropped everything and ran over to the TV and just watched and watched. Also pay attention to her walking....she is a little pro.

Blowing Her Nose

Emily LOVES to do what ever we do...like blowing her nose.

"A DUCK!"

Here is an old video of Emily at 10 months saying her first and favorite word.

Christmas Tree Shopping!

I apologize for being so
behind on updating our blog...I will try to better.

Ben and I wanted to continue our tradition of going to cut down our own Christmas Tree so we took Emily to a farm. We got more then just Christmas Trees. They had horses and we got to go on a carriage ride and Emily got to pet the horses. When she sees a picture of a horse now she barks which tells us she recognizes the horse and it does has four legs like a dog. They also had a big cage of rabbits where you can get in a pet the rabbits. Emily LOVED the rabbits.

We did end up picking and bringing home a tree. Ben and I spent a few hours decorating it after Emily went to bed. So far she has done a pretty good job not touching the tree or should I say lifting the ornaments.
